A LOOK AT WHAT'S HAPPENING

MEN'S GOLF
• The Vikings are in action today (Monday, April 2) and tomorrow (Tuesday, April 3) at the Seattle U Redhawk Invitational.
• The tournament is being played at Chambers Bay, site of the 2015 US Open.
• Entering the event, junior Anton Krecic has been CSU's top finisher in six of the seven tournaments so far this year, and has a 73.5 scoring average. 

WOMEN'S GOLF
• Cleveland State will return to action at the Dolores Black Falcon Invitational this weekend, traveling to Bowling Green, Ohio for the two-day event (Saturday, April 7 and Sunday, April 8).
• Last time out, freshman Madison Butler led the Vikings at the Babs Steffens Hatter Classic, finishing tied for 18th.
• For the season, Butler has a team-best 78.6 scoring averaging, while Kaylee Neumeister owns a 78.9 scoring average through six events.

MEN'S LACROSSE
• Cleveland State will open the month of April when its hosts Hampton this Saturday, April 7, at 1:00 p.m.
• The Vikings, who were off from competition this past week, will be hosting a Community Day against the Pirates this weekend.
The Community Day will see opportunities for 200 area youths to receive a full day lacrosse experience for free, including a t-shirt, game ticket and postgame autographs.

SOFTBALL
• The Vikings (11-19, 1-2 HL) will continue Horizon League play with a three-game series against UIC this weekend, hosting the Flames in a single game on Friday, April 6 and a doubleheader on Saturday, April 7.
• Cleveland State opened its league-slate last weekend, hosting Green Bay in a three-game series.
• The Vikings recorded their first Horizon League win of the season in a 3-2 victory over the Phoenix in game one of Saturday's doubleheader, with Macy Kaisk earning the win on a complete game.

MEN'S TENNIS
• Cleveland State (11-9, 2-0 HL) will hit the road for a single match this week, traveling to Detroit Mercy for an 11:00 a.m. contest on Saturday, April 7.
• Last weekend the Vikings remained perfect in Horizon League play with a 6-1 victory over Youngstown State, and also faced their second top-15 opponent in Michigan, falling to the Wolverines 6-1.
• Nico Mostardi and Matthew Terry both picked up their team-leading 22nd singles win of the season against YSU last weekend, while Luke Phillips earned his 21st victory of the year against the Penguins. 

WOMEN'S TENNIS
• The Vikings (6-11, 2-1 HL) will return to action with a pair of Horizon League matches this weekend, traveling to Detroit Mercy (Saturday, April 7) and Oakland (Sunday, April 8).
• Last time out the Vikings dropped their first league match of the season, falling to Youngstown State 7-0.
• Entering this weekend's brief two-match roadswing, Isabella Spindler and Gaby Schoenberg both own a team-best 14 singles wins, while Aleksandra Golawska stands at 13 singles wins so far this season.

WOMEN'S OUTDOOR TRACK & FIELD
• Cleveland State will continue its outdoor season at the Bob Kahn Invitational on Saturday, April 7, with action on the Oberlin College campus beginning at 10:30 a.m.
• Last time out, Chan'lier Myers paced the Vikings at the Yellow Jacket Collegiate Open, finishing fourth in the 100 Meter Dash and sixth in 200 Meter Dash.

 

VIKING OF THE WEEK
Nico Mostardi | So. | Men's Tennis
Mostardi picked up a 6-4, 6-1 victory at No. 1 singles against Youngstown State, helping the Vikings remain perfect in Horizon League play this season. Mostardi now owns a team-best 22-6 overall record this season, including a 10-2 mark this spring. All 22 of Mostardi's singles wins this season have come as straight-set victories.

OTHER TOP PERFORMERS
Chan'lier Myers | Fr. | Track & Field
Myers led the Vikings in the sprint events last time out, posting a fourth place finish in the 100 Meter Dash and a sixth place finish in the 200 Meter Dash. Myers was also part of the fourth place 4x100 Meter Relay team.

Isabella Spindler & Aleksandra Golawska | Jr./Sr. | Women's Tennis
The duo picked up a 6-4 victory against Youngstown State at No. 1 doubles last weekend, earning their 15th win of the season – a mark that is tied for ninth on the CSU Single Season Wins List.
