A LOOK AT WHAT'S HAPPENING

Men's Golf
• Cleveland State returns to action at the Earl Yestingsmeier Invitational on Friday and Saturday (April 14-15) to conclude the regular season.
• The Vikings finished as the runner-up in the 19 team Wildcat Invitational on March 28-29. CSU shot rounds of 288 and 284 to finish two shots behind Lehigh.
• Patrick Luth shot 68-71 to finish at three-under-par 139 and share medalist honors, earning Horizon League Golfer of the Week honors.

Women's Golf
• The Vikings are out of action until the Horizon League Championship which runs from April 23-25 in Florida.
• CSU closed the regular season by placing fifth at the Dolores Black Faclon Invitational over the weekend. Kaylee Neumeister tied for eighth with rounds of 79-78, while Sophie Kelner shot 74-85 (153) and tied for 12th.

Men's Lacrosse
• Cleveland State (3-8) returns home for two of its final three games, beginning this Saturday, April 15, when it hosts Walsh at 7:00 p.m. at Krenzler Field.
• The Vikings traveled to No. 12 Virginia last week and dropped a 20-7 decision in their fifth contest this season against a nationally ranked team.
• Caleb Espinoza made a game-high 16 saves, marking his seventh straight double-digit save effort, while Jake Lewis scored two goals to increase his team-lead to 14 goals this year.

Softball
• The Vikings continue its home stand with a three game series against Valparaiso this weekend. CSU hosts the Crusaders at 2:00 pm on Friday and at 12:00 pm on Saturday for a doubleheader.
• CSU dropped three games to Wright State over the weekend, including a 2-1 setback in nine innings on Sunday.
• Macy Kaisk worked all nine innings, giving up just two runs in her fourth start of the season. Mackenzie Joecken hit a solo homer in the bottom of the seventh to send the game into extra innings.

Men's Tennis
• The Vikings (8-13, 2-3 HL) will close out the regular season on the road over the next two weeks. First up for Cleveland State will be a trip to Youngstown State on Saturday, April 15.
• CSU split its final doubleheader in the Medical Mutual Tennis Pavilion on Sunday, picking up a 5-2 victory over Denison and falling to Detroit Mercy, 4-3.
• Benjamin Slade went 2-0 in singles play on the weekend - picking up his wins at No. 4 singles.

Women's Tennis
• Cleveland State (12-8, 6-0 HL) will close out the regular season with a three-match road swing over the next two weeks, beginning with a contest at Youngstown State on Saturday, April 15.
• CSU earned 6-1 victories over Oakland and Detroit Mercy in their final homestand of the season over the weekend, improving to 6-0 in Horizon League play.
• The quartet of Victoria Bensimon (No. 2), Aleksandra Golawska (No. 3), Princess Gbadamosi (No. 4), and Blanche Lenoan (No. 6) all went 2-0 in singles play on the weekend - with Bensimon moving into third place on the CSU singles wins List with 73 career victories.

Women's Track & Field
• Cleveland State will return to action at the All-Ohio Championship this weekend, taking part in the two-day event (Friday, April 14 - Saturday, April 15) that is hosted at the University of Cincinnati.
• This will be the first outdoor meet with a complete roster for the Vikings, as a handful of runners competed at the Bob Kahn Invitational hosted by Oberlin College last weekend.

VIKING OF THE WEEK

Aleksandra Golawska| Junior | Women's Tennis | Gdansk, Poland

Golawska earned a pair wins at No. 3 singles over the weekend to reach the 50-win milestone for her career, becoming the 14th Viking all-time to join the club. She also went 1-0 at No. 3 doubles, helping CSU improve to 6-0 in the Horizon League this year with wins over Oakland and Detroit Mercy.

Macy Kaisk | So. | Softball
Worked all nine innings in series finale vs. Wright State, giving up just two runs in just her fourth start of the season.

Jake Lewis | Fr. | Men's Lacrosse
Scored two goals in CSU's game at nationally-ranked Virginia and now leads the team with 14 goals and 24 points.

Kaylee Neumeister | Fr. | Women's Golf
Notched her fifth top-10 finish of the season as she tied for eighth at the Dolores Black Falcon Invitational with a 157 total.
