A LOOK AT WHAT'S HAPPENING

Men's Golf
• Cleveland State is out of action until April 14-15 when the Vikings compete at the Earl Yestingsmeier Invitational to conclude the regular season.
• The Vikings finished as the runner-up in the 19 team Wildcat Invitational on March 28-29. CSU shot rounds of 288 and 284 to finish two shots behind Lehigh.
• Patrick Luth shot 68-71 to finish at three-under-par 139 and share medalist honors to earn Horizon League Golfer of the Week honors. Anton Krecic tied for sixth place with rounds of 73-69 (142).

Women's Golf
• The Vikings play their final regular season tournament of the season on Saturday and Sunday (April 8-9) at the Dolores Black Falcon Invitational hosted by Bowling Green.
• CSU finished 11th at the EKU Colonel Classic over the weekend, firing a final round 301, which is the second lowest round in school history. CSU did not make anything worse than a bogey in the final round.
• Kaylee Neumeister and Sophie Kelner both fired a one-over-par 73, tied for the second lowest final round of the day, while Ellie Cronin shot a 77 and Rayna Oosterhuis a 78 in the final round.

Men's Lacrosse
• Cleveland State (3-7) concludes its road trip on Tuesday, April 4, with a contest at nationally ranked Virginia. Faceoff is slated for 7:00 pm.
• The Vikings did not play last week and were most recently in action on March 25 in a 15-8 setback at No. 1 Penn State.
• Cleveland State has played the second-toughest schedule in Division I to date according to the NCAA's strength of schedule metric.
• The Vikings have played six games against teams ranked in the top-25, including a pair of games against the No. 1 ranked team.

Softball
• CSU returns to action with five games this week, playing a three-game series at Oakland on Tuesday and Wednesday (April 4-5) and hosting Wright State for one game on Friday (April 7) and two on Saturday (April 8).
• The Vikings swept a doubleheader at Akron on Tuesday in their lone games last week, using late inning rallies in both games. CSU won the opener, 8-5, and game two, 7-6.
• Alicia Major worked the final three innings in game one, giving up one run on two hits to earn the win, while Hanna Breeden worked the final two innings of game two, giving up just one hit and fanning two to earn the win.

Men's Tennis
• The Vikings (7-12, 2-2) will play their final matches of the season in the Medical Mutual Tennis Pavilion this weekend, hosting Detroit Mercy and Denison on Sunday, April 9.
• The Vikings split their first road swing of the Horizon League slate over the weekend, topping Wright State (6-1) and falling to Northern Kentucky (4-3).
• After two weeks of league play, Colton Buffington and Benjamin Slade both stand at 3-1 against League opponents this season.

Women's Tennis
• Cleveland State (10-8, 4-0 HL) will return home for the final time during the 2017 spring season this weekend, hosting Oakland (Saturday, April 8) and Detroit (Sunday, April 9) over Senior Weekend.
• The Vikings improved to 4-0 in Horizon League play after picking up back-to-back 4-3 wins at Northern Kentucky and Wright State over the weekend.
• CSU is currently on a five-match win streak heading into the final homestand.
• Victoria Bensimon led the Vikings going 2-0 at No. 2 singles last weekend, notching the 70th singles win of her career, and improving to 25-2 against League opponents in regular season matches.

VIKING OF THE WEEK

Patrick Luth| Senior | Men's Golf | Medina, Ohio

Luth shared medalist honors at the Wildcat Invitational last week, helping the Vikings to a runner-up finish. He carded rounds of 68-71 to finish with a 36-hole total of three-under-par 139 to claim his first career title. He made 23 pars in the tournament and tied for second most in the field with eight birdies.

OTHER TOP PERFORMERS

Victoria Bensimon | Sr. | Women's Tennis
Won all four matches over the weekend and is now 25-2 vs. League opponents in regular season matches over last two years.

Colton Buffington | Sr. | Men's Tennis
Went 2-0 at No. 2 singles to help CSU to a weekend split against NKU and WSU.

Sophie Kelner | Jr. | Women's Golf
Fired a season-low 73 in the final round of the EKU Colonel Classic on Saturday, helping CSU to a 301 team round.
