A LOOK AT WHAT'S HAPPENING

Men's Basketball
• Dennis Felton was named as the 15th head coach in program history this past Friday. He will be formally introduced at a press conference at 2:00 pm this afternoon in the CSU Student Center Ballroom.
• Felton has over 30 years of coaching experience and has had head-coaching stints at Western Kentucky and Georgia, making the NCAA tournament four times.

Men's Golf
• Cleveland State resumes action Monday and Tuesday at the Villanova Wildcat Invitational at the White Manor CC. The Vikings are the defending tournament champions, as they carded a final round 291 at the event last year.
• The Vikings finished eighth at the Seahawk Intercollegiate that concluded last Monday with a three-round score of 914. CSU was only 10 shots out of second place.
• Sophomore Nick Infanti fired a final round even-par 72 to finish 11th.

Women's Golf
• Cleveland State resumes action this weekend as it competes in the EKU Colonel Classic hosted at the University Club at Arlington. The Vikings were off from competition this past week.
• The Vikings finished fifth of nine teams at Lamar's Cardinal Classic in their last action March 17-19.

Men's Lacrosse
• Cleveland State (3-7) will enjoy this weekend off before finishing its road trip April 4 at No. 15 Virginia.
• The Vikings played the top-ranked team in the country for the second time in a one-month span and dropped at 15-8 decision at Penn State this past weekend.
• Caleb Espinoza made 17 saves while three Vikings--Chase Baker, Jack Frickleton and Noah Gleeson--had multi-goal outings.

Softball
• Cleveland State concludes non-conference action this week with a pair of doubleheaders. The Vikings travel to Akron Tuesday and host Niagara Thursday with each twinbill set for 3:00 pm.
• The Vikings opened Horizon League play on the road last weekend by dropping three games to defending regular-season champion and preseason favorite UIC.
• Mel Woodard went 3-for-6 in the series while Riley Ries finished 3-for-7 with a walk.

Men's Swimming & Diving
• Philipp Sikatzki finished his illustrious career by swimming in three individual events at last week's NCAA Championships.
• His highest finish was a 20th place effort in the 100 butterfly in which he was also the top swimmer that did not hail from a Power Five school. Sikatzki also reset his career best when contesting the 50 freestyle.

Men's Tennis
• Cleveland State (6-11, 1-1) will continue Horizon League play this weekend, traveling to Northern Kentucky (Saturday, April 1) and Wright State (Sunday, April 2) for a pair of league contests.
• The Vikings split their matches during the opening weekend of play, picking up a 6-1 victory against UIC before falling to preseason favorite Valparaiso, 7-0.
• Freshman Nico Mostardi went 1-1 at No. 1 singles - picking up his team-leading 15th singles win of the season - while William Malm got back in the win column with a victory at No. 5 singles against UIC.

Women's Tennis
•  After picking up a pair of wins to begin Horizon League play this weekend, the Vikings will hit the road for the first time in league action traveling to Northern Kentucky (Saturday, April 1) and Wright State (Sunday, April 2) this weekend.
• Last time out, Cleveland State picked up a 5-2 victory over UIC and a 7-0 sweep over Valparaiso, improving to 8-8 overall this season and 2-0 in league play.
• Five Vikings finished the weekend with 2-0 singles records, including senior Victoria Bensimon who notched back-to-back wins at No. 2 singles improving her career record to 23-2 against league opponents in regular season matches.

VIKING OF THE WEEK

Caleb Espinoza| Freshman | Lacrosse | Colorado Springs, Colo.

Espinoza made 17 saves at No. 1 Penn State this past weekend, racking up his sixth straight double-digit save effort. Along with his teammates, Espinoza held the Nittany Lions to their second-lowest shooting percentage of the season, a category in which Penn State entered the day as the top team in the nation.

Finished 11th of 76 players at the Seahawk Intercollegiate with a 54-hole total of 221.

Philipp Sikatzki | Sr. | Men's Swimming
Finished his career by swimming in three events at NCAA's, including 20th in 100 fly.

Isabella Spindler | So. | Women's Tennis
Went 2-0 at No. 1 singles and 1-0 at No. 2 doubles to lead the Vikings to a pair of Horizon League victories.
