A LOOK AT WHAT'S HAPPENING

Men's Golf
• Cleveland State concludes play in the Seahawk Intercollegiate on Monday in Wilmington, N.C.
• The Vikings shot rounds of 308 and 305 and were tied for fifth place after Sunday's first two rounds. CSU was just five shots out of second place.
• Sophomre Nick Infanti carded rounds of 78 and one-under-par 71 and was tied for 12th place after two rounds.

Women's Golf
• The Vikings finished fifth of nine teams at the Cardinal Classic - hosted by Lamar - over the weekend in Texas.
• Freshman Ellie Cronin tied for 14th place among individuals with a 54-hole total of 236, while juniors Emily Turski and Sophie Kelner tied for 17th place with 237 totals.
• Turski shot a first round 77, one shot of her career-low, while Cronin tied her career-low round with a 75 in Saturday's second round.

Men's Lacrosse
• CSU (3-6) continues its road trip on Saturday, March 25, at No. 2 Penn State at 12 noon.
• The Vikings won their third game of the season last week with an 18-10 win at Wittenberg after its contests at Hofstra and Fairfield were cancelled due to weather.
• Tristan Copeland had a season-best five points on a goal and a team season high four assists against Wittenburg.

Softball
• CSU begins Horizon League play with a three-game series at UIC this weekend. The teams are slated for a single game on Friday (March 24) at 3:00 pm ET with a doubleheader on Saturday (March 25) at 1:00 pm ET.
• The Vikings played six games in Florida on its spring trip last week, including an 8-4 win over Indiana State. CSU dropped a one run game and a pair of two run games on the trip.
• Mackenzie Joecken hit .615 (8-13) with five RBI over the six games, while Melissa Jacobsen batted .471 (8-17) with two runs. Riley Ries drove in six runs for the Vikings.

Men's Swimming & Diving
• Philipp Sikatzki will finish his career this week by competing at the NCAA Championships (March 23-25) for the second straight year. He will swim one event each day with prelims in the morning and finals in the evening.
• He will swim the 50 freestyle on Thursday, the 100 butterfly on Friday, and the 100 freestyle on Saturday.

Men's Tennis
• CSU (5-10) opens Horizon League play this weekend at the Medical Mutual Tennis Pavilion. The Vikings will host UIC on Saturday (March 25th) and Valparaiso on Sunday (March 26).
• Last time out, the Vikings dropped a pair of hard-fought matches at UT San Antonio and nationally ranked Rice on their annual spring break trip.
• The Vikings were selected to finish second in the Horizon League Preseason Poll, earning 35 points and one first-place vote. Under head coach Brian Etzkin, the Vikings have captured four regular season titles, most recently during the 2011 season.

Women's Tennis
•  Cleveland State (6-8) will return to the Medical Mutual Tennis Pavilion this weekend, opening Horizon League play with matches against UIC (Saturday, March 25) and Valparaiso (Sunday, March 26).
• Last time out, the Vikings split their matches on their annual spring trip, picking up a 4-3 victory at Sam Houston State and falling by a matching score at Lamar.
• CSU was selected to finish third in the Horizon League Preseason Poll picking up 68 points and one first-place vote. The Vikings have been crowned Horizon League Regular Season Champions two times over the last four seasons, earning the title during the 2014 and 2016 seasons.

Wrestling
• Junior Nick Corba made his NCAA Championships debut this past week and went 2-2 at the event.
• Corba's wins came via fall and major decision, as he became the first Viking to post two bonus-point wins at a NCAA Championship in over 20 years.
• Corba finished his season with 25 wins, including 15 of the bonus-point variety.

VIKING OF THE WEEK

Nick Corba| Junior | Wrestling | Beavercreek, Ohio

Corba represented CSU at the NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships over the weekend, posting a 2-2 mark in St. Louis. He dropped his first match, but rallied to win two elimination matches on Thursday evening with a major decision win and a fall. Corba's run came to an end in the consolation third round.

Hit .615 (8-13) with five RBI in CSU's six games in Florida last week.

Isabella Spindler | So. | Women's Tennis
Went 1-1 at No. 1 singles and 2-0 at No. 2 doubles in CSU's matches at Sam Houston State and Lamar last week.

Emily Turski | Jr. | Women's Golf
Shot a 77 in first round of Cardinal Classic - one shot off her career low round.
