A LOOK AT WHAT'S HAPPENING

Men's & Women's Fencing
• Cleveland State concluded its season by having six individuals compete at the NCAA Midwest Regional over the weekend.
• Logan Shoemaker had the best performance at the event, placing sixth in the men's epee event.

Men's Golf
• The Vikings return to action at the UNC Wilmington Seahawk Intercollegiate on Sunday and Monday (March 19-20).
• CSU finished eighth of 11 teams at the Colleton River Collegiate last week, including a final round 298 which was the fourth lowest final round of the event.
• Anton Krecic shot rounds of 77-77-73 and tied for 23rd place to lead the Vikings.

Women's Golf
• The Vikings return to action at the Cardinal Challenge from Friday through Sunday (March 17-19) in Texas.
• CSU has been out of action since opening the spring season by winning a tri-meet with Oakland and Youngstown State on Feb. 21 in Florida.

Men's Lacrosse
• CSU's (2-6) games at Hofstra on Tuesday and at Fairfield on Wednesday have been canceled due to the impending snow storm projected to hit the Northeast this week.
• The Vikings fell at No. 16 Ohio State on Saturday, 12-4. Danny Tesler had two goals, won 7-of-13 faceoffs and picked up six ground balls.
• CSU is slated to return to action on March 25 with a 12:00 pm game at No. 3 Penn State.

Softball
• CSU (1-20) continues its spring trip through Florida with six games this week. The Vikings play Indiana State on Tuesday before playing five games at the FGCU Invitational this weekend.
• The Vikings dropped four games at the Jacksonville Invitational over the weekend as Bailee Gray, Macy Kaisk and Mel Woodard earned spots on the all-tournament team.

Men's Swimming & Diving
• Philipp Sikatzki was officially invited to the NCAA Championships for a second consecutive season last week.
• Sikatzki will compete in the 100 fly - he finished fourth in the country last year - and is also eligible to compete in two other events at this year's NCAA Championships which are being held from March 22-25 in Indianapolis.

Men's Tennis
• Cleveland State (5-8) will travel to Texas for a pair of matches on its annual spring trip this week, taking on UT-San Antonio (Tuesday, March 14) and Rice (Thursday, March 16).
• Junior Mirko Radosevic enters the week just five wins shy of recording 50 victories on his career - and becoming the 12th Viking all-time to achieve the feat.
• Entering the week a trio of Vikings have reached the double-digit win plateau in singles play, with Nico Mostardi owning a team-best 14-11 record, while Colton Buffington and Mirko Radosevic both have 10 wins on the year.

Women's Tennis
• The Vikings (5-7) will look to extend their current win streak on their annual spring trip this week, traveling to Lamar (Monday, March 13) and Sam Houston State (Wednesday, March 15) for a pair of matches.
• Entering the week, junior Aleksandra Golawska is just six wins shy of becoming the 14th Viking all-time to record 50 career singles wins and has a 10-9 record this season.
• Senior Victoria Bensimon ranks seventh on the CSU singles wins list with 66 career wins, while classmate Princess Gbadamosi ranks eighth with 62 career victories.

Wrestling
• Junior Nick Corba will compete at the NCAA Championships, beginning on Thursday, March 16, in St. Louis.
• Corba will open against Robert Steveson of Minnesota with the winner facing No. 12 seed Drew Foster of Northern Iowa.
• With Corba earning an at-large bid, at least one Viking has qualified for NCAA's in each of the past three years.

VIKING OF THE WEEK

Logan Shoemaker| Sophomore | Men's Fencing | Houston, Texas

Shoemaker had a strong showing at the NCAA Midwest Regional, placing sixth overall in the epee. He garnered five victories in the five-touch round-robin bouts and was CSU's top finisher at the regionals.

Named to all-tournament team over the weekend, going 5-for-13 with three RBI in four games at Jacksonville Invitational.

Made 10 saves at Ohio State on Saturday, his sixth game with double figure saves this year.

Joey Krecic | Jr. | Men's Golf
Shot final round two-under-par 70 at Colleton River Collegiate.
