A LOOK AT WHAT'S HAPPENING

Men's Basketball
• CSU (6-17, 3-9 HL) hits the road for games at Valparaiso on Thursday (Feb. 9) at UIC on Saturday (Feb.11).
• The Vikings split two games last week, topping Detroit Mercy on Thursday, 90-73, and falling to Oakland, 53-51, on Saturday. Kasheem Thomas averaged 14.0 points, 4.5 assists and 2.0 steals in the two games last week.

Women's Basketball
• Cleveland State (12-11, 7-5 HL) will take its final road trip of the regular season this week, traveling to Green Bay (Thursday, Feb. 9) and Milwaukee (Saturday, Feb. 11) for a pair of Horizon League contests.
• The Vikings won at UIC and Valparaiso last week, moving into a tie for fourth place in the league standings. Khayla Livingston had two 20-point games and 13 total assists in the two games.

Fencing
• CSU is back in action the final weekend of February when it contests the Midwest Conference Championships.
• CSU competed at the NU Duals hosted by Northwestern this past weekend. The men went 3-3, claiming wins over Northwestern, Incarnate Word and Caltech. The CSU women went 1-5, securing a win over Caltech.

Men's Lacrosse
• CSU (0-1) plays its first road game this Sunday, Feb. 12, when it travels to nationally ranked Duke at 2:30 p.m.
• The Vikings played their inaugural game at home vs. Michigan on Saturday (Feb. 4), falling 13-8.
• Nick Wendel scored the game's opening goal while Tristen Copeland finished with two goals and an assist.

Softball
• The Vikings open the 2017 season by hosting the CSU Dome Tournament this weekend. CSU plays Bowling Green (8:00 am) and Canisius (10:30 am) on Saturday and Canisius (8:00 am) and Niagara (10:30 am) on Sunday.

Men's Swimming & Diving
• Cleveland State will send a select group of athletes to the Ohio State Winter Invitational this weekend.
• The Vikings closed their home and dual schedule this past Saturday by dropping a 149-94 decision to Buffalo.

Women's Swimming & Diving
• Cleveland State will send a select group of athletes to the Ohio State Winter Invitational this coming weekend.
• The Vikings closed their home and dual schedules this past Saturday by dropping a 160-83 dual to Buffalo.
• Junior Tobie Zeller swept the breaststroke events and also swam on a winning relay.

Men's Tennis
• CSU (2-2) competes at home for the first time during the 2017 spring season this weekend, hosting Oberlin and Niagara in a doubleheader on Saturday, February 11.
• The Vikings split their road trip over the weekend, winning 4-3 at Bucknell before falling at Penn State, 7-0.
• Nico Mostardi (No. 1), Colton Buffington (No. 2), and Mirko Radosevic (No. 6) earned singles wins vs. Bucknell.

Women's Tennis
• The Vikings (1-4) will continue their current four-match homestand this weekend, hosting Case Western (Friday, Feb. 10) and Niagara (Saturday, Feb. 11) in the Medical Mutual Tennis Pavilion.
• Cleveland State split its doubleheader last time out, picking up its first win of the season in a 7-0 sweep over Oberlin and falling to Western Michigan.

Women's Track & Field
• CSU will have a week off from competition before returning to action at the Kent State Tuneup on Feb. 18.
• The Vikings opened the 2017 season at the YSU National Invitational last weekend, with the Distance Medley Relay team finishing fifth (12:50.37) and Samantha Butterbaugh placing seventh in the 3000 Meter Run (10:29.93).

Wrestling
• Cleveland State (2-7, 1-3) closes EWL action this weekend with a road dual Friday at Edinboro and a home match Sunday against Clarion.
• The Vikings began this past week by posting their first EWL win of the season in a 26-23 win over Bloomsburg.
• CSU won the nine-team Mat-Town Open II Sunday at Lock Haven. Nick Corba went 5-0 on the week with four bonus-point victories.

VIKING OF THE WEEK

Khayla Livingston| Junior | Women's Basketball | Hollywood, Fla.

Livingston averaged 23.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, 6.5 assists and 2.0 steals in CSU's road wins at UIC and Valparaiso over the weekend. She scored 24 points with seven assists in Thursday night's win at UIC and came back with 22 points, five rebounds, six assists and three steals to lead the Vikings to a win at Valparaiso on Saturday.

Won 184-pound title at Mat-Town Open II, winning his four matches, 37-4.

Princess Gbadamosi  | Sr.. | Women's Tennis
Won two singles matches last weekend, moving into 10th place on the all-time wins list at CSU.

Scored the first goal in program history, just 3:23 into the contest vs. Michigan.
