• Guidelines for Boosters and Friends of the University
Great college athletics programs are built through great private support.
Cleveland State's Viking Club, established in 1978, has helped CSU athletics grow to include 17 varsity sports and more than 280 student athletes. In its first 30 years, the Viking Club has supported our teams with more than $4 million in private gifts. Gifts may be unrestricted to address departmental needs or directed to support a particular sport, endowment or scholarship fund.
Annual gifts to the Viking Club support the teams and include great benefits:
• Donors at the $900.00 level get access to premium Big Green basketball seating such as courtside or center court.
• All donors get Priority Points for access to postseason events, including NCAA, NIT or Horizon League tournaments.
• Contributions are tax-deductible.
Endowments provide permanent support for scholarships and may be established with a one-time gift or a payment plan.
